House Cleaning For Lice

If you have a confirmed case of head lice you will need to treat the house because lice can live on a hair shaft for up to 48 hours off the scalp. Put bed linens, pillows, stuffed animals, hats and jackets in the dryer for 30 minutes on high heat to kill the live lice and lice eggs. Also, vacuum all upholstery, mattresses, and carpets to remove any bugs that may have escaped.
